| More Info | [Please scroll down for English] Được coi là một trong những kiến trúc sư cảnh quan đang nổi lên tại phương Tây, anh Andy mang đến một tiếp cận mới trong lĩnh vực này và điều đặc biệt hơn là những thiết kế của anh, vốn đậm chất nghệ thuật sắp đặt, phản ánh những hồi tưởng của tác giả về tuổi thơ Việt Nam của mình như công trình "Glass garden" tại Los Angeles Anh hiện đối tác với một nghệ sĩ người Pháp để hình thành Cao Perrot Studio (http://www.caoperrotstudio Andy Cao là người Việt đầu tiên nhận Loeb Fellowship tại trường Cao học Thiết kế Harvard để nghiên cứu và giảng dạy tại đây năm học vừa qua (http://www.gsd.harvard.edu Trước đó, anh là Prize Fellowship tại Viện Hàn lâm Hoa Kỳ tại Rome - người Việt Nam thứ hai có vinh dự nhận giải thưởng này trong lĩnh vực thiết kế. Các sắp đặt phong cảnh của Cao luôn tạo ra những môi trường lưỡng lai, hòa trộn nghệ thuật và phong cảnh để tạo nên một nơi chốn của giấc mơ. Cao luôn sử dụng những chất liệu quen thuộc song thường bị ta bỏ qua để tạo nên các không gian sở hữu những ý nghĩa độc đáo và mời gọi người xem vào một thế giới trầm quán của màu sắc và và cảm giác. Gần đây nhất, cao Perrot Studio đã thắng cuộc thi quốc tế thiết kế công viên Guangming rộng 600 acress tại Shenzhen, Trung Hoa. Tác phẩm của Cao và đồng sự đã được xuất bản và triển lãm tại các lien hoan và bảo tang vường quốc tế, bao gồm Design Life Now: National Design Triennial 2006 tại Cooper-Hewitt national Design Museum, New York Nhân dịp ghé qua Sài Gòn một vài ngày, Cao muốn kết hợp với Ga 0 tổ chức một buổi giới thiệu về các tác phẩm cũng như triết lý nghệ thuật của mình vào 18:00 chiều Chủ Nhật, 31 tháng Bảy năm 2011. Ga 0 thân mời các bè bạn quan tâm tới kiến trúc cảnh quan tới tham dự cuộc trò chuyện thú vị này. ----- Considered widely one of the most talented landscape architects who are emerging in Western world, Andy Cao contributes a new approach in this field. More specially, his works, mixing with installation art, always reflect his memory of his childhood in Vietnam, such as his “Glass garden” in Los Angeles. Cao is collaborating with a French artist to establish Cao Perrot Studio (http://www.caoperrotstudio Andy Cao is the first Vietnamese who has received Loeb Felloship at Harvard Design School to study and teach there in the last yearhttp://www.gsd.harvard.edu Cao Perrot Studio’s works create hybrid environments, blending art and landscape to make a place for dreaming. They often use overlooked materials to create environments that defy specific meaning and invite the viewer into a contemplative world of color and sensuality. Most recently, Cao Perrot Studio won an international competition to design the 600 acres Guangming New Town Central Park in Shenzhen, China. Their work has been widely published and exhibited at international garden festivals and museums, including Design Life Now: National Design Triennial 2006 at Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, New York.
