ZeroStation is pleased to inform since 5th-the end of March, we welcome artist UuDam Nguyen to take our residency program. In his time at ZeroStation, he will work with a local artist to conduct a collaborative project. At the end of the residency (the first week of April), there will be an exhibition and workshop where he and his partner will show their final product and share experience with the audience on their process of working together.
This residency of Uu Dam is the first one of our residency program ( intensive residency project) where an invited foreign artist or artist from other provinces of Vietnam will have opportunity to work with a local artist. By this form of collaboration, we hope all debates, negotiations,and even conflicts produced between two Others in their process of working together will create a "real" dynamic, which is not only in epistemic level, but also in experiential level. It is this dynamic that we hope will open up a new relationships between artists and artists which does not base on the simple model of making exhibition.
