Art educational collaboration between ADS and ZeroStation

Website: http://adsvietnam.edu.vn/) has been established with the mission to become a professional design and art school in Vietnam, which is an expert in educating interior & graphic design, fashion & industrial design in multiple level of education and carrer decelopment.


Recently, the ADS centre has signed the agreement with Contemporary Art Centre ZeroStation, (address: quarter 288 Nam Ki Khoi Nghia, ward 8, district 3, HCMC, Vietnam. Website: www.zerostationvn.org) on educating the students of the ADS about practice and theory of contemporary art in three semesters, from December 2011 to the end of 2012. In this collaboration, ZeroStation will build a practical-based art educational curriculum in which the students will be enabled to work with curators and artists of ZeroStation in building art projects which uses contemporary art practice such as conceptual photography, installation art and video art.


The main purpose of this collaboration, besides providing for design students the practical understanding on contemporary art helping them to be familiar with conceptual thinking in their designing work, is to introduce knowledge of contemporary art for public in the attempt to bridge the gap between art and life, contemporary artists and social fields which has been being one of important targets of ZeroStation insofar (see more on this in some past project of ZeroStation such as Zero-Art-Education project , or Intensive Exhibition Visits Projects

Thông báo về việc hợp tác đào tạo giữa Trung Tâm Nghệ Thuật & Thiết Kế Quốc Tế ADS và ZeroStation|Ga 0


Trung Tâm Nghệ Thuật & Thiết Kế Quốc Tế ADS, (ADSInternational Design & Art Centre) địa chỉ: 
 143 Lý Chính Thắng, q.3,TP HCM, Vietnam. Website: http://www.adsvietnam.edu.vn/Truong-ADS.html), được thành lập với sứ mệnh trở thành một trường thiết kế & nghệ thuật chuyên nghiệp tại Việt Nam, chuyên đào tạo các ngành thiết kế Đồ họa, Nội thất, Thời trang & thiết kế Sản phẩm Công Nghiệp với nhiều cấp độ đào tạo & phát triển nghề nghiệp.


Mới đây, trung tâm ADS đã ký thoả thuận hợp tác với trung tâm nghệ thuật đương đại Ga 0 (địa chỉ 288 Nam Kì Khởi Nghĩa, p.8, q.3, TP HCM. Website: www.zerostationvn.org) trong phạm vi đào tạo các thực hành và lý thuyết về nghệ thuật đương đại cho sinh viên của trung tâm trong vòng 3 học kì, từ tháng 12 năm 2011 tới hết năm 2012. Trong khuôn khổ sự hợp tác này, trung tâm nghệ thuật đương đại Ga 0 sẽ xây dựng chương trình đào tạo thông qua thực hành mà ở đó các sinh viên tại ADS sẽ được cùng làm việc với các nghệ sĩ và giám tuyển của Ga 0 để tạo ra các dự án nghệ thuật sử dụng các thực hành nghệ thuật đương đại như nhiếp ảnh ý niệm, nghệ thuật sắp đặt hay nghệ thuật video.


Mục đích của sự hợp tác này, ngoài việc cung cấp thêm cho sinh viên thiết kế các kiến thức thực hành về nghệ thuật đương đại, qua đó giúp họ làm quen với các tư duy khái niệm trong công việc thiết kế, còn là sự phổ cập kiến thức về nghệ thuật đường đại, nhằm thu hẹp lại khoảng cách giữa nghệ thuật và đời sống, nghệ sĩ đương đại và xã hội , tức một mục đích căn bản của ga 0, qua các dự án như, Zero-Art-Education, hay dự án “ xem triển lãm chuyên sâu” trước đây.


Nhìn từ góc độ trên, Ga 0 xin vui mừng thông báo về sự hợp tác này.

by the invitation from Vietnam University of Fine Art, Hanoi, from 5-8 January 2012, Nguyen Nhu Huy, artistic director of ZeroStation, HCMC, attended to the university to participate in a series of events which were organized by art criticism and history of art department. In two first days, Nguyen Nhu Huy had two talks with students, young artists and lecturers in university on the subjects: "The installation art in begining of 21th centuries" , and " Relational aesthetics and its influence on Vietnamese contemporary practice". And in the third day, he participated in a roundtable with lecturers and students from art criticism and art history, researchers from Vietnam artstudies institute, and young artists on the subject:" The role of teaching and studying art theory in art school".

Nhận lời mời từ đại học mỹ thuật Việt Nam, Hà Nội, từ mùng 5 đến mùng 7 năm 2012, Nguyễn Như Huy, giám đốc nghệ thuật Ga 0, TP HCM đã có mặt tại trường để tham dự một loạt sự kiện do trường tổ chức. Vào hai ngày đầu tiên, Nguyễn Như Huy đã có hai bài nói chuyện với giảng viên, sinh viên của trường và các nghệ sĩ trẻ về hai chủ đề: " Nghệ thuật sắp đặt vào thời điểm bắt đầu của thế kỉ 21", và " Mỹ học về các môí quan hệ và ảnh hưởng của nó lên thực hành nghệ thuật đương đại Việt Nam". Vào ngày thứ 3, Như Huy đã tham dự một cuộc thảo luận bàn tròn với chủ đề" vai trò của việc giảng dạy và nghiên cứu lý thuyết nghệ thuật trong trường nghệ thuật" với giảng viên và sinh viên khoa lý luận và lịch sử mỹ thuật, các nghiên cứu viên từ viện nghiên cứu nghệ thuật Việt Nam, và các nghệ sĩ trẻ.

Các bạn thân mến, Ga 0 xin vui mừng thông báo, trong khuôn khổ cộng tác giữa Ga 0 và chương trình nhiệm trú nghệ thuật Koganecho Bazaar, mà ở đó, Ga 0 đóng vai trò tư vấn về mặt giám tuyển, nghệ sĩ Việt Nam được ban giám tuyển tại của chương trình Koganecho Bazaar 2013 lựa chọn cư trú và làm việc 2 tháng tại Yokohama, trong dự án Koganecho Bazaar 2013 là nghệ sĩ Phan Quang. Xin chúc mừng nghệ sĩ Phan Quang.


Koganecho Bazaar là một liên hoan nghệ thuật do trung tâm điều hành quản lý khu vực Koganecho tổ chức với mục đích sử dung nghệ thuật để mang lại sức sống cho quận Naka, thuộc khu vực đô thị Koganecho tại thành phố Yokohama. Coi không gian thường nhật chính là sân khấu cho nghệ thuật, liên hoan đã, từ năm 2008, mời tổng cộng 120 nhóm nghệ sĩ, giám tuyển, kiến trúc sư từ khắp thế giới và Nhật Bản tới làm việc .


Chương trình năm nay có tên gọi “con đường phá cách” với mục đích tạo ra một trạm để khảo sát cái gọi là thuyết quốc tế từ góc nhìn của các nghệ sĩ và giám tuyển châu Á. Các giám tuyển và nghệ sĩ từ châu Á sẽ được mời đến làm việc, thảo luận, chia sẻ kiến thức và tạo ra các dự án ngắn hạn và dài hạn với nhau. Trong chương trình năm nay, các nghệ sĩ và giám tuyển từ Philippine, Thái Lan, Đài Loan, Việt Nam, Nhật Bản sẽ có cơ hội làm việc với nhau để tạo ra hai trạm tương liên, giữa Nhật Bản và Đông Nam Á, cũng như giữa Đông Nam Á với nhau. Đây là một chương trình rất tham vọng với dự kiến kéo dài các sự hợp tác và làm việc chung cho tới năm 2017.

We are very happy to inform that, within the collaboration between ZeroStation(www.zerostationvn.org) and Koganecho Bazzar program for which ZeroStation takes role of the curatorial consultant, the Vietnamese artist who is selected to Koganecho Bazaar 2013 Artist-in-Residency program is Phan Quang. Quang will start his 2 months residency time in Yokohama from September 2013. Congratulations artist Phan Quang!


“Koganecho Bazaar” is an art festival hosted by the Koganecho Area Management Center, an NPO that uses art to revitalize the Yokohama City Naka Ward Koganecho urban area. With the city’s everyday spaces as a stage, the festival has been held every autumn since 2008, and to present organizers have invited a total of 120 groups of artists, curators, and architects from Japan and abroad.


This year, 2013, the program is entitled “Alternative routes” which aims to explorer internationalism from Asian perspectives. Artists and curators from Asia will be invited to work, discuss, share knowledge and build collaboration project short/long-terms together. For this year, artists and curators from Philippine, Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam are invited to build together two inter-related platforms, between Japan and Asia, as well as among Asian countries. This ambitious project is planed to developed until 2017.
