In this “marathon”, which will start on 6:00 pm, Friday, 9 August 2013, 7 artists, curators, and organizers from Korea, New Zealand, Greece, Hongkong, France and Vietnam will continuously present their work


Dear friends.

ZeroStation is pleased to introduce and invite you to be part of our special event whose title is PRESENTATION IN MARATHON. In this “marathon”, which will start on 6:00 pm, Friday, 9 August 2013, 7 artists, curators, and organizers from Korea, New Zealand, Turkey, Hongkong, France and Vietnam will continuously present their work as well as their social and cultural concern which are reflected in them

The main target of this event is to open the chance to see each other and to be seen among artists as well as to create sort of working network in region and beyond. However, this event, as being made open for public, also has another important target that is to open for audience a chance to go deeper than the surface of art product/mythology to encounter with the realities of being an independent artist/organizer in Vietnam or in wherever

In this event, ZeroStation will be an adaptor that connects everyday life and art, art and art, audience and artist, local and global in hoping to open a multi-dialogue, which is essence of all contemporary art practice

The artists participate in this PRESENTATION IN MARATHON are

1-Soung Hyo Ryu:

Soung Hyo Ryu is an organizer, curator who is now working and living in Seoul. Ryu is co-founder and artistic director of AGIT, an independent art space in Busan. The most recent events and festivals he has organized and directed artistically are Ansan Street Arts Festival _ Creative Producer, 2013; Busan Biennale _ Sub-program Director, 2012, Gwangan Beach Soundwave Festival _ Art Director, 2012; Busan Public Art Project 'Busan Rejuvenation 2011

2-Ahkok Wong, 

Ahkok Wong is musician, co-director of Hidden Agenda, an independent art space in Hongkong

5-Artist Liar Ben

Liar Ben is vice artistic director of ZeroStation. As a curator he has co-organized and curated several projects such as “Graffiti in the alley”, 2011
